Lithuania clears Infortar Agro to acquire 100% of agricultural group Litagra

On 13 October 2026 the Lithuanian Competition Council cleared OÜ Infortar Agro to acquire 100% of the shares in UAB Litagra and take sole control of it. The notification was received on 18 September 2026; the Council found that the deal would not create or strengthen a dominant position or significantly restrict competition. Estonia's Competition Authority had already approved the concentration on 1 October 2026 (decision no. 5-5/2026-036). Latvia's Competition Council received its notification on 25 September 2026. Infortar Agro is owned by Nasdaq Tallinn-listed Infortar and runs dairy farming, raw milk production and crop growing. According to the Lithuanian Council, Litagra controls a group of Lithuanian farming companies focused on dairy, crop growing (wheat, rapeseed, legumes, barley, oats) and compound feed and pet food production, with related companies raising broiler chickens and turkeys. The share purchase agreement was signed on 7 September 2026. No price has been disclosed.

Our take With Lithuanian and Estonian clearances in hand, the remaining step visible in public filings is Latvia. The Council's description is also a reminder of how far Litagra reaches beyond grain: feed mills, pet food and poultry sit next to the dairy and crop operations, which gives the buyer a vertically linked chain rather than a set of farms.
