Bydgoszcz moulder Hanplast files to buy 100% of local injection-moulding firm KLG

UOKiK published on 12 October 2026 a notification, filed on 6 October, under which Hanplast sp. z o.o. of Bydgoszcz intends to acquire sole control of KLG sp. z o.o., also based in Bydgoszcz, by buying all of its shares. According to the filing, Hanplast is controlled by its shareholder Aleksandra Majchrowicz and in turn controls a group active in contract plastic injection moulding for industrial, chemical and household-appliance customers using moulds owned by the clients, in the production and assembly of photovoltaic modules, in PV design services and, through some companies, in operating solar farms and generating and trading electricity. KLG provides specialist injection moulding of plastics and makes injection moulds; both serve domestic and foreign markets. The case is pending; the price was not disclosed.

Our take The buyer is the neighbour: a Bydgoszcz moulding group taking over another Bydgoszcz moulder. What KLG adds is mould-making — a capability Hanplast's own description does not include, since it works with moulds owned by its clients. In small contract manufacturing, a competitor in the same city that lacks one of the target's capabilities is often the most motivated buyer, because it already knows the customers and the labour market.
