Cohere announces proposed acquisition of AISLE, with Prague as its AI-security hub

On 15 October 2026 Canadian AI company Cohere announced a proposed agreement to acquire AISLE, an AI cybersecurity company founded in 2024; the announcement's web address describes the step as a signed letter of intent. According to Cohere, AISLE co-founder Ondrej Vlcek will become Senior Vice President of a newly created Cohere Cyber business, Stanislav Fort will become Vice President, AI Security, and Jaya Baloo will become Cohere's Chief Information Security Officer. Cohere also says it plans a substantial long-term investment in Prague, which will become AISLE's global centre for AI cybersecurity. No price, timetable or closing conditions were disclosed. Czech daily E15 notes that Vlček previously ran Avast.

Our take Cohere is buying a team and a location as much as a product: all three founders get senior roles, and Prague is named as the global base for the unit. That reflects the Czech security-software talent pool built around Avast. For an international acquirer, a two-year-old AI company is priced on its people, so retention terms decide most of the value. A letter of intent is not a binding deal, and Cohere has given no closing timetable.
