CIAK Group completes acquisition of Serbian lubricants distributor Technolub

Zagreb-listed CIAK Grupa d.d. announced on 2 October 2026 that it has completed the acquisition of Technolub d.o.o. of Belgrade. The buyer is its subsidiary CIAK Auto Serbia. CIAK describes Technolub as one of the leading distributors of oils and other lubricants in Serbia and beyond, with revenue exceeding €9 million and more than 25 employees, and as a family-owned company. Technolub will continue to be run by Mr Matković as chief executive. CIAK, which positions itself as one of the leading independent automotive aftermarket companies in the Adria region, is present in Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Slovenia. Price and stake were not disclosed.

Our take A typical consolidator move in a fragmented distribution market: a regional group buys a family-owned specialist with an established customer base and keeps the founder-era manager in charge. For consolidators, the pattern is worth noting — at around €9 million revenue and 25 people, the business was small enough to be an easy bolt-on yet large enough to matter in one product category in one country.
