Auto Podlasie group files to buy the Toyota Częstochowa dealership from Toyota Katowice

Poland's competition authority UOKiK published on 12 October 2026 a notification, filed on 2 October, under which AP Auto sp. z o.o. (Warsaw) intends to acquire part of the assets of Toyota Katowice sp. z o.o. The target is an organised part of the enterprise covering the authorised Toyota showroom and service centre at al. Wojska Polskiego 68/76 in Częstochowa: new Toyota sales, used cars of various brands, after-sales and mechanical service, and body and paint work organised through subcontractors. The transfer includes the tangible and intangible assets, certain rights and contracts, and the staff of the unit. AP Auto is a newly formed company with no operations, part of a group with Auto Podlasie CorpoCars Management (AP Flota) and Auto Łódź, active in vehicle rental, fleet management, car sales and service. The buyer intends to continue the business at the same location. The case is pending; the price was not disclosed.

Our take This is an asset deal, not a share purchase: the buyer takes one showroom with its people and contracts through a fresh company, leaving the seller's legal entity and its history behind. For a fleet and rental group, an own brand dealership adds sourcing, service capacity and used-car flow. For buyers, a single dealership location can be acquired separately from the rest of a business — and with large enough group turnover, even a one-site deal needs UOKiK clearance, which belongs in the timetable.
